Mingfei Xu (mx9@rice.edu) received his B.S. degree in Physics in 2020 from Wuhan University. He joined the Rice WIDE Lab led by Prof. Yuji Zhao in 2021 and is currently seeking a Ph.D degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice. He is primarily working on ultrawide bandgap semiconductor-based electronics, especially boron nitride and diamond.
Mackenzie Siford received her B.S. in Physics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is now working towards a Physics M.S. degree. Her current research involves defect identification in AlN through photo-induced electron paramagnetic resonance.
Songrui Hou joined University of California Riverside in Fall 2018 as a PhD student where he is co-advised by Prof. Richard Wilson and Prof. Chen Li. He received his B.S. in Physics from Renmin University of China in 2018.
Frank Angeles graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside in 2018, and earned his M.S. in 2019 from UCR. He Joined Dr. Richard Wilsons Group in Fall 2019 as a Phd student.
Arpit Nandi is a PhD research scholar focusing on homo & hetero-epitaxial MOCVD growth of Gallium Oxide with Prof. Martin Kuball at Center for Device Thermography and Reliability, University of Bristol. Recent focus include growth of crystalline thin film of beta-Gallium Oxide on high thermal conductive substrates (Diamond).
